Lunchföreläsning, Val Zwiller – Kvantfotonik

Onsdagen den 30/9, 12.15-13.00, har du möjlighet att lyssna till Val Zwiller, professor i tillämpad fysik på KTH, som berättar om sin forskning!

Nanoscale  devices operating at the quantum limit enable the generation,  manipulation and detection of light at the single photon level. We  develop and fabricate devices able the generate exactly one photon at a  time as well as pairs of entangled photons. To perform measurements, we  make single photon detectors with superconducting nanostructures. While  fundamental understanding is an important driving force for these  studies, we also explore technological applications such as lidar,  quantum communication, quantum sensing and quantum computing.We will also give a virtual tour of our laboratory at Albanova.
